Meet Your Tutor

Julie Striewski is an educator with more than 20 years of experience in elementary education and has been providing tutoring using the Orton-Gillingham approach since 2022. She completed Orton-Gillingham Basic Language training through the Orton Gillingham Online Academy and uses structured literacy practices aligned with the Science of Reading. She supports students who benefit from clear, structured, and research-based instruction. Julie is passionate about helping young learners become confident readers. Julie brings a calm, encouraging approach, helping each child build skills at their own pace while growing confidence along the way. She believes every child deserves access to effective literacy support and is committed to making tutoring more accessible for families by offering reduced-cost options when possible.

Outside of teaching, Julie enjoys hiking, reading, spending time in the mountains, and exploring all that Central Oregon has to offer.
